Tribal Power Armor

A rusty suit of T-45d power armor with tribal coloring. The armor has become less effective over the years of mistreatment. It has the ability to withstand several pistol and rifle calibers. It has the same protective capability as a Type III ballistic plate.

T-45d Power Armor

The T-45d uses riveted steel plates in its construction. Various electronic and mechanical subsystems of the armor are exposed on the outside of its casing rather than sealed within as in the T-51b, making it far more susceptible to damage. In addition, a specialized body suit is required to be worn underneath the T-45d's armored shell in order to facilitate linking the armor's servos to the wearer's own motions and to make the armor more bearable because of its heat dissipation problems. It has the same protective capability as a Type IV ballistic plate, but is easily defeated by plasma, and has several weakspots where plates connect, including the neck, inner elbow, and behind the knee, where the rating can drop down to easily Type II.

Black Devil Power Armor

It is composed entirely of lightweight composites rather than the usual combination of metal and composite plates found on the previous designation of advanced power armor, the MK I. It has the same protective capability as a Type IV ballistic plate, and is protective against plasma. It does not have the usual weak spots, though it's optics are a glaring weakness on the head.

Tesla Power Armor

This armor is a variant of the Enclave's Black Devil Power Armor, outfitted with a Tesla device that is capable of dispersing a large percentage of the damage done by directed-energy attacks. Additionally, the armor makes the operation of energy weapons by the wearer easier, boosting the power of energy weapons used by the operator. It has the same protective capability as a Type III ballistic plate, but due to it's advanced force field-like Tesla modifications, the armor can either bounce or ping rounds off of it before they even make contact. This does not apply to automatic weapons, and a minigun has the ability to, with sustained fire, completely shut down the Tesla grid.

Hellfire Power Armor

As state of the art power armor, it is conclusively the best and most advanced model of power armor revealed to date. It provides its wearers with more protection than any other form of armor produced post-Great War, due to its unique Duraframe components and high resistance to heat. It has the same protective capability as a Type IV ballistic plate, but is completely immune to fire of any form, and the suit itself is completely sealed from the outside world once the user is inside.

T-51b Power Armor

The armor is fitted with a back-mounted TX-28 MicroFusion Pack which generates an output power of 60,000 Watts to power the HiFlo hydraulic systems built into the frame of the suit. Made of a poly-laminate composite, the outer shell of the T-51b is lightweight and capable of absorbing over 2500 Joules of kinetic impact. The 10-micron-thick silver ablative coating can reflect laser and other radiation emissions without damaging the composite subsurface, and the eyeslit for the helmet is made of bullet proof glass to protect the wearer from any projectiles. In advance, it recycles human waste and converts it into drinkable water, and has an air conditioning system for comfort. It has the same protective capability as a Type IV ballistic plate, and is strong to both energy and ballistic weapons, though it specializes in neither. It retains a lot of the weakpoints of the T-45D power armor, but also gains better protection in standard zones. It is not uncommon for laser weaponry to completely bounce off of this armor.

Advanced Power Armor

It is composed of lightweight metal alloys, reinforced with ceramic castings at key stress points. The motion-assist servo-motors used in the armor appear to be high-quality models as well, giving the wearer improved strength. The suit has an auto-gyro system to keep it upright and the knees can be locked in position, to prevent the wearer from falling over, if, for some reason, he loses consciousness on duty (e.g. takes a nap). Additionally, like the T-51b power armor, it includes a recycling system that can convert human waste into drinkable water, enhancing survival and an air conditioning system for comfort. It has the same protective capability of a Type V ballistic plate, being able to take several rounds of .30-06 and plasma without penetrating the armor. APA is an incredibly strong modern power armor, created by the Enclave relatively recently, using some of the greatest materials available to the Enclave.

Advanced Power Armor Mark II

Like its older brother, the standard advanced power armor, it's matte black with a menacing appearance, but with a few significant differences - it appears to be composed entirely of lightweight ceramic composites rather than the usual combination of metal and ceramic plates. This decreased weight prolongs the life of the power armor. It has the same protective capability of a Type V ballistic plate and more, being able to take several rounds of .30-06 and plasma without penetrating the armor. This is similar to APA, though it's been modified even further.

Advanced Tesla Power Armor

This version was possibly a prototype before the complete destruction of Navarro by the NCR. Similar to the Enclave Tesla armor from Fallout 3, the Advanced Tesla Power Armor has multiple energy capacitors on the shoulders, presumably channeling power towards weapons that utilize that energy. It has the same protective capability of a Type V ballistic plate and more, being able to take several rounds of .30-06 and plasma without penetrating the armor. Due to it's advanced force field-like Tesla modifications, the armor can either bounce or ping rounds off of it before they even make contact. This does not apply to automatic weapons, and a minigun has the ability to, with sustained fire, completely shut down the Tesla grid.
